Our Management Team

The Milecrew

As Milecrew, we have been around since 2022, founded by Roland and Felix. Sebastian and Erwin have been part of the crew since the very beginning and form our management team, which jointly oversees our projects.

Our crew consists of 11 core members, who are complemented by 20 other top partners and freelancers from all over Germany and Europe. Each of our 30 IT experts has many years of practical professional experience and contributes to the success of the Milecrew with different skills and their own personality. Depending on the project, we put together our special crew individually for you.

We are based in Cologne and work primarily remotely throughout Germany. A proven international network complements our crew when needed.

Roland GülleRoland Gülle Managing Partner Roland has been working as a software, product and technology expert since 1996. As VP Technology / CTO, he most recently successfully built up the international IT company Avenga with more than 4,000 employees. Prior to that, he managed the software company Sevenval with 200 employees as CTO and sold it together with his partners. In addition to technical concepts and architectures, Roland specializes in building and optimizing software organization, methodologies and technologies. In the past, he has successfully implemented projects for various clients from startups to corporations, as well as developed SaaS and license products. Roland does his own programming and speaks at conferences. Roland leads the Milecrew as managing partner.Roland supports clients as an interim CTO and leads Milecrew as managing partner.
Felix HassertFelix Hassert CTO & Partner Felix has more than 20 years of experience in software product development and the operation of clusters and cloud infrastructure. As Director Products and Hosting, he most recently led several agile teams and was responsible for the design, implementation and operation of SaaS and on-premise products in the area of high-security and high-traffic architectures. In the past, he has successfully managed open source solutions, SaaS platforms and outsourced product development projects for international clients. Felix is at home in any programming language, platform, cloud or on-premise and will find the right solution for your individual problem. As CTO and partner, Felix leads the technology strategy & architectures of the Milecrew.
Sebastian ThielenSebastian Thielen COO With more than 15 years of experience, Sebastian understands complex software technologies, product requirements and the need to work with teams to implement them. As Director Product Development, he most recently led several agile teams that developed their own products as well as products for customers. Sebastian's particular focus is on organizing teams in hybrid setups with service providers, near-shoring and customers as well as engineering and product management. As COO, Sebastian leads the teams and organization for the implementation of products for Milecrew's customers.
Erwin SchliskeErwin Schliske Director Data Center & Cloud Erwin has more than 15 years of experience in planning, implementing and managing data centers and cloud technologies. He carefully plans solutions to infrastructure challenges and requirements so that they always function reliably and smoothly. Through infrastructure as code and the use of the latest technologies, he creates open and transparent communication with the customer. Quality and future viability are the focus when he works on projects in his teams together with the developers and product management. As Director Data Center & Cloud, Erwin manages all developments of our customers' cloud infrastructures and projects.
